OUR MISSION

Picture
Lake 26 is a generations-old beautiful natural resource. We welcome visitors to enjoy all the lake has to offer - boating, fishing, swimming and floating. We ask that lake visitors consider their impact on the lake at all times and to be aware of the concerns facing the health and beauty of the waters.

In particular, the lake is at risk and susceptible to shoreline wake damage, pollution, and invasion from undesirable plant and animal life transported to the lake on watercraft hulls and in live wells. Our Internet Landing Installed Device Sensor (I-LIDS) is always watching the hundreds of boat launch activities each year. Thousands of videos each year are captured, documenting the boats, trailers and vehicles entering and leaving the Lake26 public launch area.

Your Lake 26 Board and lake association is organized to promote the preservation and natural beauty of our lake and surrounding area through education and active monitoring.

MEMBER ENGAGEMENT

Overall, the most important factor in this lake's success controlling water clarity and the spread of invasive species is visible involvement by our members all around the lake.

Our members want all Lake 26 visitors to feel welcome to enjoy the beauty of the lake (it really is beautiful), and we want those visitors to be aware that we hold protection of water clarity at a premium for generations of enjoyment for everyone.

Volunteers around the lake display our 'Lake Monitor' signs to show off our diligence here.
