You're invited to Polk County and Partners Zebra Mussel Forum on February 2nd. This is a virtual event that will begin at 9 am and end around 3-3:30 pm, but if planning to attend feel free to come and go for different talks! Although Burnett County has been very lucky with having only two lakes detected with Zebra Mussels, this invasive species is still moving around in surrounding counties and the St. Croix River. I highly encourage you all to attend and learn more about what other local lake associations in the Northwest Area are doing to prevent, contain and live with zebra mussel infestations. Burnett County has two lake association representatives speaking at this event including Bob Baker from Lipsett Lake and Sandy Swanson from the McKenzie Lakes! Feel free to pass along to your members!
Please RSVP to Colton Sorensen if you'd like to attend Thanks and hope to see you there! Emily Emily Moore Aquatic Invasive Species Coordinator Water Resources Specialist Burnett County Land Services Department 7410 County Road K Siren, WI 54872
